Cape Town has a different rhythm to Joburg. More wind. Tighter traffic windows. A harbour that drives a lot of the heavy work. Our Cape teams cover the Northern Suburbs industrial belt, Atlantis industrial, the CBD, the harbour and out to the Cape Winelands. Mobilisation is fast inside the metro and we coordinate inter-province work from Joburg when projects need national fleet.

What we do across the Western Cape

Cape work splits into four buckets: commercial — rooftop equipment, V&A and CBD high-rise, Atlantic Seaboard residentials; industrial — Atlantis and Bellville-belt factory installs, weighbridges, packing-line equipment, transformer placements; harbour & logistics — container moves, dockside equipment, abnormal loads to/from port; and agricultural & wine — cellar tanks, presses, refrigeration plant in Paarl and Stellenbosch.

CBD, Atlantic Seaboard, Southern Suburbs — commercial

Rooftop aircon and chiller swaps. Glass and facade panels. Restaurant and hotel fit-outs. CBD work usually happens after-hours or weekends because of traffic and pedestrian management. Wind is the variable that catches out-of-town crews — we plan for it.

Bellville, Brackenfell, Stikland — Northern Suburbs industrial

Factory machine installs, weighbridges, generator drops, transformer placements. Most of the bread-and-butter mid-band work in the Cape happens here. Mobilisation from our metro positions is fast — ask before noon and we're typically on site the next morning.

Cape Town Port — container & harbour work

Container moves, dockside equipment lifts, abnormal-load coordination for cargo in and out of the port. Port access requirements, security tempo and stevedoring coordination all baked into the quote.

Paarl, Stellenbosch & the Winelands — agricultural & cellar work

Cellar tank installs, press equipment, refrigeration plant for wineries and orchards. The Winelands work is seasonal-driven — we plan around harvest and crush windows to keep production running.

Frequently asked

Cape Town-specific questions

How fast can you mobilise Cranes & Crane Trucks? +
Unless permits are required for inter-province establishment or abnormal restrictions where we need approximately 48 hours to secure them, the smaller cranes — 20–60 ton machines — are often same-day if you ask before noon. 100-ton-plus needs 2–3 hours mobilisation due to arranging permits and counterweight transport, so they're more typically next-day (subject to permit requirements). Crane trucks, if available, can generally be despatched immediately subject to availability.
Do you provide rigging and certified riggers? +
Yes — every job includes a qualified rigger as standard. We staff red-ticket (Grade A) riggers on heavy lifts and complex picks, and all rigging gear (slings, beams, spreader bars) comes calibrated and tagged. If you have your own rigging team you prefer to use, that's fine — just tell us up front so the lift plan reflects who's doing what.
Can you arrange traffic management and permits? +
Yes. For lane closures, road obstructions and traffic management on the busier routes, we can coordinate with municipal contractors as part of the booking. (Cost may apply.)
Do you do Site Surveys? +
Yes — we in fact prefer to meet our clients on site and build the trust from the start. Our qualified Field Reps will survey the access, ground conditions and discuss the scope of work and what specialised equipment and expertise will be required to conduct a safe lift.
What if I'm outside Western Cape? +
We work nationwide — Cape Town, Joburg, Durban, Mpumalanga, KZN, Limpopo, Free State. We have teams throughout Southern Africa; otherwise for long-term projects we mobilise from our closest depot.
